1. What is your character name/class/race/is English your 1st language? If you are not max level, do not waste your time and more importantly our time. Gracchi, priest, Blood Elf, yes, English is my first language.
2. Link your Armory profile and screenshot of your ui. LOG OUT IN YOUR PVE GEAR. If your armory does not represent your raiding gear set-up, do not expect a quick or meaningful reply. Please explain the extra detail that may not be displayed by your Armory and that you feel is important to note. Why are you specced the way that you currently are? Again, be detailed as this will be the most analyzed section of your application. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...lyon&n=Gracchi http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7...1609220905.jpg My spec is pretty much the cookie cutter shadow spec. It gives maximize dps by buffing mana efficiency, pushback resistance, and buffing the damage of my spells. For Alone in the Darkness, I'd most likely go: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#bicZZGefVRfzcfqfzAo:Lah The threat reduction and glyph of Mind Sear would maximize my dps in phase 3. 3. What Glyphs would you use for your pve raid spec and why? There's really only 3 good choices for shadow. Shadow word: Pain is self explanatory: it boosts the main nuke, Mind Flay, by 10%. Glyph of Shadow, spirit equals regen and extra spellpower, and it has basically 100% uptime. Glyph of Mind Flay gives the main nuke an extra 10yard range. For Alone in the Darkness, I'd switch Glyph of Shadow for Mind Sear to give it an extra 5 yard radius in phase 3. 4. List any WWS or WMO parses you may have. If you don't have one, get one -- WMO is free. http://www.wowmeteronline.com/browse/guild/18387#all 5. List your typical playtime for each day of the week. Sunday 5pm est-2:30/3am est Monday 10pm est-2:30/3am est Tuesday 5pm est-2:30/3am est Wednesday 5pm est-2:30/3am est Thursday 5pm est-2:30/3am est Friday 11pm est-2am est Saturday 11pm est-2am est 6. Why are you interested in joining GC, and what are your goals once guilded? I want to be part of a guild whose members are as serious about progression and defeating the most challenging encounters as I am. I'm looking for a guild where raiding with 24 others who have min-max'd their professions, enchants, gems, and attend more than 50% of the raids is normal. My goals, if accepted, are: to prove myself worthy of becoming a member, to perform my role as a hybrid dps while surviving encounters and not dying to preventable events, to experience and overcome the most difficult encounters Blizzard can create, and to (hopefully) make some friends along the way. 7. Are you on Korgath? If not what server? Turalyon 8. Make up your own question, then answer your question. What is the craziest encounter you've ever done in a MMO? Hands down, Absolute Virtue in FFXI. As if the process of farming the pop items for Jailer of Love and then killing Jailer of Love weren't enough, finally getting Absolute Virtue to pop after Jailer of Love's defeat (RNG ftl) and fighting it was insane. After Square-Enix ninja "fixed" AV, he became unkillable. Even when killable, the Jailer of Love/AV fight took quite a few hours; however, after the "fix" no one knew that it became unkillable. So I took part in a 16 hour long fight before finally giving up. 9. Detail your MMO background and prior raid experience. Detail your raiding expertise or lack there of (Direct most of this towards WoW, though if you have an exceptional story or background from another game please share). If you were in a major guild (top 3 of your team/server) in the past or recent, please detail your role within the guild and why you left. Even if you were not in a “major” guild please list the most recent 2 guilds and your role and why you left. DO NOT make a list of the last 20guilds you have been a member of. Detail anything that you feel would help give us insight to your value as a raider. Prior to joining WoW, I played FFXI from its US release until leaving that game 1 month prior to the release of The Burning Crusade. In FFXI, I had 3 lv75 jobs (bard, monk, and white mage) with about 3 more in the 65+ range. In FFXI, much like WoW, I completed as much of the game as possible. I was in one of the top Linkshells on the Odin server doing Sky, camping ground Kings, and later farming Sea. I was in the servers top NA dynamis linkshell (although on weekdays we farmed some dynamis zones with my regular LS-clearing some of the zones with 18people was pretty awesome), and I led one of the top Limbus shells which got the server first Proto-Omega kill. I only mention these things to demonstrate that, although I'm newer to WoW end game than some of GC is, I am not new to the commitment of end game play. My first true WoW raiding guild was villain on Whisperwind starting around December of 2007. villain was in the top 3 server kills in TBC content up to and including Kalecgos. I held the role of priest class leader which entailed helping other priests with gearing, gemming, rotations, etc. By July 2008, villain had started to lose some quality members, so 8 of us transferred to Turalyon to help form a new guild, Misclique. In Misclique, I was an officer and helped raid lead, distribute loot, and work out boss strategies. Misclique managed to kill pre-nerf M'uru in approximately 20 raid hours. In WotLK content, Misclique downed everything but Sarth 3d. Due to some serious problems within the guild, however, Misclique imploded right around Christmas with various members joining other big guilds on and off server or starting anew. I joined Failure Inc to start a new guild with some good friends from Misclique with the intention of having Misclique's success without the internal conflicts. As an officer of FI, I'm responsible for raid parses, going over those parses meticulously, helping raid lead, being part of the loot council, and even training/retraining players about their classes... Unfortunately, the majority of the good players from Misclique had already joined other guilds, so the pool of outstanding players on Turalyon was rather small. FI had cleared all content pre 3.1 (not that it was hard) with less than optimal setups, usually undermanning bosses. In, Ulduar we've had tons of issues. Attendance being the 600pound gorilla in the room, but also, performance: particularly issues with raid awareness. The extremely frustrating thing is that, in complete contrast to our 25man progress, our 10 man group has performed exceptionally well. Our group is server 4th (horde 2nd) with Glory of the Ulduar Raider and working on Algalon. I'm really looking to join a guild where attendance and raid awareness arent't an issue. 15 good raider can carry 10 others through Mimiron easy mode but will never get hard modes done. 10. List references and means of contact. If you have any friendships/ingame experience with current GC members please elaborate. Draviene, warrior, officer of Failure Inc. Xantch, druid, officer of Failure Inc. Neokarasu, shaman, raider of Fusion. 11. Floyd or Zeppelin? Zeppelin 12. How old are you? What do you do for a living/study/smoke? 27, I own a restaurant, majored in Classics (lots of relevance to my job lol), and I quit smoking about 2years ago. 13. Were you ever an officer or obtained a leadership position of your past guild(s), if so explain your role. I pretty much explained this in question 9. I was priest class leader in villain and officer in Misclique and Failure Inc. The one with the most responsibility has been by far in FI. I've been in charge of combing through parse data to evaluate and to grade players. The big problem has been the ability to replace the poor play with quality raiders. 14. Do you have internet reliability? Disconnecting frequently is not acceptable for raiding. How good is your computer? Do you get low fps on aoe intense fights? Internet connect is very reliable. My pc has a dual core 3.16ghz processor, 4gigs of ram, and 2 gtx260 video cards. My fps at the lowest drops to 30-35 fps. 15. Do you know why polar bears don’t eat penguins? And if they did, would they really drink Coke? Polar bears live in the Arctic; penguins live in the antarctic. Assuming the impossibility of them seeing and then eating penguins in the wild, sure, polar bears would drink Coke too. 16. Are you the original owner of your account? If not explain. No, this isn’t a trap and using a friends account or how ever you acquired the character does not void you from joining and raiding. However, if it discovered that you falsely claimed ownership of the character you are applying with, you will be removed from raiding capacity with the current or any other characters from other accounts. Every minute of my 109+ days played were done by me. 17. Have you ever had an online relationship with the opposite sex. Did you ever fly to meet them or vice versa? Was this relationship in WoW? Did it end? If not why are you letting it persist? Does she or he know it's a dead end? Have you ever wanted to have an online relationship, if so with whom? No, no, no. Online relationships are just dumb. However, I've heard that Kate Beckinsale does strip teases for her husband via webcam when they're separated; I wouldn't mind getting to see her strip at all. 18. Amaze us with your theorycrafting abilities. This is your opportunity to show us how much you know about your class. You may provide us with any spreadsheets or combat sim logs that will aid your explanations. DO NOT simply make a list of things someone told you to do, tell us WHY. Ok, I guess I'll talk about my starting rotation. A shadow priest should always get up 5 stacks of shadow weaving before applying Shadow word: pain on a boss. The few seconds spent in the beginning of a battle without SWP on the boss are quickly made up for since SWP will spend the duration of the fight with the full 10% bonus from shadow weaving. I've found the best opening rotation is: Vampiric Touch (gets 1/5 SW and puts Misery on the target for the other casters), Mind Blast (2/5 SW, causes Replenishment, and starts the 5.5s cd so that on next cast it will have 5/5 SW and all dots will be applied *also provides the 7% haste buff with 4pc T8), Devouring Plague (3/5 SW), Mind Flay (5/5 SW), SWP (1.3s left on MB cd), then I either cast Vampiric Embrace if I haven't already cast it while positioning on the pull, or, if I have cast VE already, I cast Shadow Word: Death to act as filler til MB is off cd. 19. How did you hear about our guild? Gentlemens Club has been around the top of US progression since I've started raiding in WoW. I saw on wowprogress.com that you were looking to add a shadow priest. |

I do. They don't. That's why 25 progression has been a nightmare.

Why do you have Fade and Dispersion set to such awkward key binds? I don't see any key binds for your healing spells, how do you heal in emergencies?

They aren't that awkward with my keyboard, a merc stealth. http://videogiochi.dvd.it/immagini/s...s/1045210c.jpg
Everything is is all within reach of my left hand easily. Then I have mind flay, arcane torrent, and my targetting macros all bound to my mx518 mouse. As far as healing, I used to have them bound with alt+numbers (you can still see my fort and resurrection bound with alt), but I removed them because I found myself popping out too often when I still had them bound. Typically in my current guild, if I do have to heal, then it's already a wipe because the tanks died first. For 10man stuff, I usually do rebind them to alt+numbers. For my disc offspec, I have my heals all bound. |

When I got mine a little under a year ago it was $70 from newegg. It's a little bit cheaper than a G15 and feels a bit more comfortable imo.
