Out of curiosity who is interested in Hardcore? I wanted to work on assembling a hardcore team to try and progress through Hell/Inferno. Obviously I would want to complete Inferno on a standard character first, and learn everything that I can before going through hardcore. Looking at a group of around 5 people that will backtrack a lot and keep a healthy amount of gear in the stash to help gear up someone that died. I think it would be beneficial to play with each other in normal as well so if you're interested in pushing Inferno, and then doing it again on hardcore let me know.
Yeah, if you engage a big boss like the Skeleton King you either win or lose. There's no getting out of the fight once you start.
Yea, in many ways the hardcore is D3 is way more hardcore. I wonder how long it would take you to get someone back up to 60 if they died? Assuming it wasn't a full group wipe on a boss (that would fucking blow). If you were a group of 4 you could have 1 person help the guy level back up, and the other two could farm in a somewhat safe spot for gear. Ideally there would be decent gear waiting for the guy at 60 in his or someone else's stash.
I am interested. Definitely not gonna try till I clear with a normal character, and find out which class is most viable too.
Class that is most viable is irrelevant. There's not going to be one master class that you take 4 of. You may specialize people though and have say a WD that is built purely to CC and disable as much as possible leaving a Demon Hunter or Wizard to go full blown offense.
I'm definitely interested in something like this. I'm not sure how much time I will have to play though. Hopefully the game from normal through inferno is entertaining. The challenge at end game sounds very enticing to me.
Yeah, beating Inferno is going to be rough, and then working on it on hardcore... Let's just say the first time we die in Inferno we are going to know just how much farming we are going to have to do.
You're safer in numbers. If something does go wrong hopefully one person is chicken shit enough to run away and help gear the others back up
I'll definitely be making a HC character as well, but I'm in no rush to be omfg world 1st HC inferno clear or anything like that.
As far as I know mobs with 1 player have 100% health and mobs with 4 players have 250% health, so there is an advantage. It will be harder solo. You also have access to a lot more disabling abilities with 4 players. The only problem is getting used to playing together and staying in a tight-knit group.
