well from about 1-41 you can just aggro everything and kill it NP so I would say use: fists of thunder/ thunderclap rune .... I chose to kite everything with deadly reach/keen eye... at 60 you can go with an attack speed based build using thunderclap rune to knock enemies back soooo the more they are knocked back the less damage you take this is a thunderclap build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#aYXjgh!TUX!acbcYa this is deadly reach build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#bYXjgQ!TUX!ZcbcYc ALSO tempest rush is like super good even in inferno because you don't use it until you get surrounded or need to run away or through mobs
